Datavail Promotes Mehul Joshi to Senior Vice President of Data and Infrastructure Managed Services

Datavail, a leading data and AI consultancy, today announced the promotion of Mehul Joshi to Senior Vice President of Data and Infrastructure Managed Services. In his new role, Joshi will oversee Datavail’s Database Managed Services, Infrastructure, and Site Reliability Engineering organizations, customer success, and supporting operational functions. He will help accelerate the company’s Managed Services 2.0 strategy and the evolution of next-generation platform operations.

A Datavail veteran of more than 20 years, Joshi’s career reflects the company’s commitment to developing leaders from within. He joined Datavail as a SQL Server Database Administrator and advanced through technical, management, and executive leadership positions, helping build and grow Datavail’s database managed services business. He is also a frequent industry speaker, author, and thought leader on database modernization, cloud transformation, and AI-ready data platforms.

In his expanded role, Joshi will lead a unified managed services organization encompassing Database Managed Services, Infrastructure and SRE operations, Customer Success Management, and Datavail TechBoost™. The organization will focus on delivering proactive, AI-enabled managed services while expanding Datavail’s capabilities in large-scale Platform-as-a-Service and Software-as-a-Service environments. The alignment brings multiple strategic initiatives under a common operating framework designed to improve customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and service innovation.

Throughout his tenure, Joshi has played a key role in developing Datavail’s database services practice and helping customers modernize mission-critical environments across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and cloud-native platforms. Most recently, he has helped define the vision for Managed Services 2.0 and Data Platform Managed Services, including support for emerging platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks through automation-first delivery models, AI-powered operations, and outcome-based customer engagements.
