One Player, Two Wins: BBR$999 Sweeps Second Mortgage Week Openers at ACR Poker

BBR$999 became the early pace-setter in ACR Poker’s Second Mortgage Week by winning both Nosebleed Stakes tournaments on Monday. The two first-place finishes were worth $241,630.

First came the $10,300 NLH 8-Max, a 55-entry contest that formed a $550,000 prize pool. BBR$999 earned $154,000 for the win, while ACR Poker CEO Phil Nagy played as Justsomefish72 and finished second for $110,000. LeijkieHond took third for $88,000.

The opening field also included ACR Pros Chris Moneymaker and Alex Foxen. Moneymaker used his own name, while Foxen entered as OutFoxenYou. Both finished outside the paid places.

BBR$999 completed the double in the $5,200 NLH 8-Max, defeating a field of 69 entries to win $87,630. The tournament created a $345,000 prize pool, with $65,550 going to runner-up Halongbeee and $51,750 to third-place Chamois999.

Adding the two prize pools together, Monday’s events awarded $895,000. BBR$999 captured more than one-quarter of the combined prize money.

Eight Second Mortgage Week tournaments remain, with the next two scheduled for this Wednesday. That day’s schedule turns to Pot-Limit Omaha with $10,300 and $5,200 buy-ins, followed by two No-Limit Hold’em tournaments Thursday.

The highest-priced tournament is the $25,500 NLH 8-Max on Sunday, September 27. A $5,200 NLH event runs alongside it, and Second Mortgage Week finishes Monday, September 28, with $15,400 and $5,200 tournaments.

Second Mortgage Week is part of the $50 million GTD OSS XL. This Sunday brings Day 1B in two OSS XL Main Events: the $2.5 million guaranteed $2,650 edition and the $2 million guaranteed $1,050 edition. Day 2 of the $500,000 guaranteed $66 Main Event is also set for Sunday before the series ends September 29.
