Americas Cardroom Wraps Another Big OSS XL Sunday Ahead of Second Mortgage Week

Americas Cardroom moved into the closing stretch of the $50 million OSS XL after a September 20 slate that featured marquee tournaments and pushed three Main Events closer to their final stages.

The OSS XL #215 $630 High Roller brought in 1,204 entries, turning a $600,000 guarantee into a $722,400 prize pool. Following a final-table deal, slippy12 received $119,923 for first place and a6amKa4ePBb earned $114,033 for second.

Another $630 High Roller, OSS XL #213H, also cleared its guarantee. Its 499 entries produced $299,400 against its $250,000 guarantee, with G26 winning $59,536 after a final-table deal. Mini Phil’s Thrill #219 reached $260,000 from 104 entries at $2,650, topping its $250,000 guarantee.

Elsewhere, tangerina77 won $46,771 from the $250,000 guaranteed OSS XL #216, PedroPAAulo took $10,906 in the $75,000 Sunday Splash and slavkopider earned $15,780 in the $100,000 Sunday Smash. Those three tournaments paid their guarantees after Americas Cardroom made up the shortfall. Phil’s Thrill PLO #220 landed exactly on its $200,000 guarantee, with HFNeon taking $58,000.

The weekend also set up the next Main Event dates. The $2,650 and $1,050 editions drew 468 and 950 entries in Day 1A and both return for their final Day 1B on Sunday, September 27. The $66 Main Event added 2,564 Day 1B entries and sends 493 players into Day 2 this Sunday with everyone competing for a $500,000 prize pool after a $202,100 overlay.

Leaderboard positions remain open to movement. GROOTHEDEGEN led High on Monday morning, ITILTHARD headed Medium and MALEKSEY topped Low, with more than $60,000 in cash and tournament tickets available across the competition.

Second Mortgage Week starts today with 10 Nosebleed Stakes events across five playing days through September 28. Buy-ins range from $5,200 to $25,500.
