Orient Express Sailing Yachts and Guerlain present Ocean Rebirth
A wellness retreat aboard Orient Express Corinthian, designed by architect and Artistic Director Maxime d’Angeac, during a transatlantic crossing. A restorative pause dedicated to calm and regeneration, offering an invitation to reconnect with what truly matters.
Ocean Rebirth builds on the partnership between Orient Express Sailing Yachts and Guerlain, whose expertise is already brought to life on board through the Spa.
From October 12 to 26, 2026, Orient Express Sailing Yachts and Guerlain invite guests to experience an extraordinary immersive journey in the heart of the Atlantic with Ocean Rebirth, a fourteen-night wellness retreat aboard Orient Express Corinthian.
The crossing will connect Lisbon to Bridgetown, with a stop in Ponta Delgada, the Azores. Taking place primarily at sea, the retreat will provide a privileged setting in which to experience a comprehensive regeneration programme designed by the Guerlain teams.
Guests can experience the full journey from Lisbon to Bridgetown, or choose one of two stages:
- Lisbon – Ponta Delgada: October 12 to 15, three nights on board, with disembarkation on October 15;
- Ponta Delgada – Bridgetown: October 15 to 26, eleven nights on board.
The Art of Well-Being
Ocean Rebirth is rooted in Guerlain’s holistic vision of well-being, built around four pillars: nutrition, movement, mindfulness and sleep. This approach places prevention at the heart of well-being, supporting vitality, preserving balance and cultivating longevity. A pre-journey assessment enables a tailored programme to be designed for each guest, adapted throughout the crossing to their needs, pace and personal experience.
Individual consultations, small-group workshops and guided sessions will shape the experience, allowing each guest to explore the different pillars of the programme. Nutrition is an integral part of this approach.
The nutritional offering has been developed by Yannick Alléno, the world’s most Michelin-starred chef, and Guerlain, with the expertise of its specialists. It is tailored to each guest’s identified needs, extending their personalised journey to the dining table.
The experience is further enhanced by a range of dedicated tools. At the heart of the programme, LongeviSkin, Guerlain’s unique device, combines seven leading aesthetic technologies for the first time, including LED, plasma and radiofrequency. It is complemented by a longevity consultation and Theragun recovery devices.
A Regenerative Journey at the Rhythm of the Crossing
As the days at sea unfold, five Guerlain wellness specialists will accompany guests through a series of complementary experiences, designed to work in synergy across body and mind.
Breathwork and meditation, crystal bowl sound baths, movement and mobility, deep-tissue massage, Guerlain treatments and regenerative nutrition will come together in a journey where each experience builds upon the next, supporting balance, vitality, recovery and quality of sleep.
Beyond the experience on board, exchanges with the experts will enable each guest to better understand their body, explore the practices that suit them and leave with simple tools to carry this renewed sense of well-being into their everyday lives.
This approach comes to life through the five areas of expertise brought together on board:
Amélie Demange, Advanced Integrative Wellbeing
As International Director of Aesthetic Expertise and Wellness Experiences Creation for Guerlain Spas, Amélie Demange cultivates a contemporary vision of care. Her approach stands at the crossroads of aesthetic expertise, wellbeing, and the art of longevity.
Through the Guerlain Art of Care, she designs experiences and programs that unite expert facialist gestures, holistic methods, and cutting-edge technologies. Efficiency and precision guide this quest for new experiences: each one is conceived to sustain beauty, balance, and vitality over time.
Aboard the Orient Express Corinthian, she will conduct a holistic Wellness Assessment for every guest. This privileged moment serves as the starting point for a fully bespoke program. Throughout the retreat, she will orchestrate this journey alongside Déborah Passuti, Slav Marinov, Annabelle Deridder, and Charles Ferreux. Together, they will weave their distinct expertise to meet individual needs and aspirations.
This global, precise, and evolving approach to wellness ensures that every experience becomes part of a pathway designed to nurture lasting wellbeing.
Déborah Passuti, Regenerative Nutrition
A naturopath and expert in nutrition and longevity, as well as a Buchinger Wilhelmi ambassador, Déborah Passuti has spent more than ten years developing a distinctive vision of regenerative nutrition, founded on the alliance between nature, life sciences and the art of living. On board, she will offer a personalised approach, positioning nutrition as a true driver of vitality and longevity.
Ocean Rebirth brings together gastronomy and the life sciences in a subtle interplay, placing culinary emotion at its heart. Each dish has been created by Yannick Alléno, the world’s most Michelin-starred chef, with the nutritional expertise of Déborah Passuti. The dishes awaken the senses while supporting balance and the body’s natural regenerative mechanisms. Brought together on a single menu, three intentions — “Timeless Glow,” “Pure Reset” and “Vitality Boost” — give each guest the freedom to compose their meal according to their needs or desires.
This philosophy will permeate the entire experience on board: a signature Longevity Breakfast, rituals and thoughtful touches, personalised consultations, and masterclasses exploring regenerative nutrition and honey, an emblematic ingredient of the House of Guerlain. These experiences are designed to lay the foundations, far beyond the crossing itself, for an everyday art of living centred on well-being and longevity.
Slav Marinov, Recovery and Deep-Tissue Massage
A six-time world massage champion with more than twenty years of experience, Slav Marinov is renowned for his expertise in sports massage and deep-tissue techniques. Trained in anatomy and physiology at the National Sports Academy in Sofia, he has developed his own approach combining neuromuscular therapy, trigger-point work, active stretching and joint mobilisation.
On board, he will offer targeted and personalised protocols designed to release deep tension, support recovery and restore mobility. Each session will be based on a precise assessment of the body and its imbalances, allowing him to adapt the intensity and techniques to the needs of each guest.
Accustomed to working with elite athletes and an international clientele, Slav Marinov has also developed signature treatments for leading Houses, including Guerlain. His approach will therefore combine technical expertise, performance and well-being, as a natural extension of the Ocean Rebirth philosophy.
Annabelle Deridder, Holistic Beauty
An ambassador for Guerlain’s beauty and wellness expertise, Annabelle Deridder will draw on her expertise in treatments, facial techniques and holistic well-being to provide personalised support.
She will offer exceptional treatments, masterclasses dedicated to facial expertise and make-up, as well as sessions focused on facial and body self-massage. She will also lead personalised coaching sessions, sharing expert techniques and rituals tailored to guests’ needs and designed to be incorporated into their daily routines.
Charles Ferreux, Fitness Coach and Massage Practitioner
Trained in classical ballet, Charles Ferreux performed with several international companies, including the prestigious Béjart Ballet Lausanne. This artistic experience gave him an especially precise understanding of the body, posture and movement, as well as a strong focus on balance, coordination and fluidity of movement.
He subsequently expanded his expertise into personal training and wellness, including at prestigious establishments in Switzerland. Experienced in working with an international clientele, he has developed a bespoke approach adapted to each individual’s physical condition, goals and pace.
On board Orient Express Corinthian, Charles will offer personalised sessions dedicated to movement, mobility and strengthening, alongside massages designed to promote relaxation and recovery. At the intersection of his artistic experience, sporting expertise and massage practice, his approach will be grounded in attentiveness, precision and the pursuit of a lasting balance between posture, vitality and well-being.
Within this suspended moment in time, these experiences invite guests to develop a renewed awareness of body and mind, and to reconnect with an essential sense of balance.
Conceived as a retreat at sea, Ocean Rebirth transforms the time spent crossing the Atlantic into a privileged setting in which to slow down, reconnect with oneself and explore a new approach to regeneration, guided by a deeply holistic vision.
From March 13 to 27, 2027, Ocean Rebirth will continue its return journey from Bridgetown to Lisbon, with a two-day stop in Ponta Delgada, the Azores.
The retreat can be experienced in its entirety or in two stages: March 13 to 24, from Bridgetown to Ponta Delgada, or March 24 to 27, from Ponta Delgada to Lisbon.
