Maserati draws widespread acclaim at the Salone Auto Torino 2026
The Trident sparked great excitement in Piazzetta Reale, the Royal Gardens, and at the spectacular Supercar Meeting, showcasing the latest additions to its lineup alongside its iconic super sports cars.
The third edition of the Salone Auto Torino came to a close wrapping up a weekend celebrating the passion and excitement of the automotive world in the heart of Turin. The open-air show once again established itself as one of the industry’s most popular events among the general public and the world’s most prestigious international brands. Against this extraordinary backdrop, Maserati, the Motor Valley’s longest-standing brand and an ambassador for Italian luxury around the world, took center stage with an exhibition area that quickly became a hot spot for enthusiasts and visitors.
Set in the breathtaking Piazzetta Reale and featuring the imposing Maserati Corse Truck, the Trident’s elegant stand highlighted the dual nature of a brand born to compete and win on the road and track. This blend of experience on international circuits and Maserati’s interpretation of “Gran Turismo Italiano” defined the brand’s presence at the Salone Auto Torino. An impressive display provided the backdrop for the new Grecale and GranTurismo, recently launched alongside the new GranCabrio, which embody the Modena-based brand’s ability to combine design, innovation, and performance through a vision of Italian luxury recognized around the world. Also on display was the striking MCPURA Cielo, the Maserati super sports car that expresses the purest essence of the Trident’s energy and performance.
The stand drew crowds throughout the weekend with the new Grecale Trofeo V6 in a Grigio Lamiera Shiny livery, equipped with the iconic 3.0-L V6 Nettuno delivering 530 HP, Sport Premium Dark Red leather upholstery, and MacroTwill carbon-fiber inserts; the new GranTurismo Trofeo, with the 3.0-L V6 Nettuno producing 590 HP and 650 Nm of torque and featuring an exclusive Fuoriserie Green Jupiter livery; and the MCPURA Cielo, presented in the refined Fuoriserie AI Aqua Rainbow livery, which captured attention with its carbon-fiber monocoque, 630-hp V6 Nettuno, striking butterfly doors, and retractable electrochromic glass roof. In short, the display sparked curiosity and enthusiasm, giving visitors the opportunity to discover Maserati up close.
Meanwhile, international media gathered for the press conference held on September 11 at the Maserati stand, where Elisa Weltert, General Manager West&South Europe, delivered a photo and video presentation on the latest additions to the lineup as part of the 100th anniversary of the Trident emblem. The celebrations continued throughout the event thanks to the presence of Maserati product experts, who were available to media and visitors to provide further insight into the features of the various models, with dedicated materials and digital content accessible via QR code.
At the Royal Gardens, Trident’s sporting heritage provided another highlight of the Salone, with the GT2 Stradale and MC12 Versione Corse taking center stage and drawing the attention of enthusiasts. Together, these two vehicles bring the brand’s “from track to road” philosophy to life, with motorsports serving as a research and development laboratory where technologies and solutions are developed before making their way into road-going models. Featuring a Digital Aurora Matte livery and blue interiors, the GT2 Stradale is the road-legal version of the Maserati GT2, which achieved success in the GT2 European Series in 2024 and 2025 in Class AM. Alongside it was the MC12 Versione Corse in Blu Victory, derived from the MC12 GT1 that won the FIA GT championship in 2005. Limited to just 13 units, it brought one of the most iconic chapters in the Trident’s racing history to life and proved to be one of the most admired cars at the exhibition.
The excitement continued on Saturday, September 12, when Maserati took its cars beyond the exhibition area to the Supercar Meeting Venaria Reale–Torino, joined by Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo and Maserati CEO. Departing from the Palace of Venaria, the parade traversed the hills surrounding Turin before reaching the Salone Auto Torino in the afternoon, bringing a spectacular selection of supercars to the city’s streets. Among the stunning vehicles taking part were several Trident models from local dealer Maserati Forza Torino, along with three vehicles provided by the brand: the MCPURA in an AI Aqua Rainbow livery, the new GranCabrio Modena in Blu Emozione, and the new GranTurismo in Verde Giada. The procession brought the allure and sound of Maserati beyond the Salone, turning the parade into an unforgettable experience for the public.
The Modena-based brand’s participation in the Salone Auto Torino was part of a full calendar of events and initiatives marking Maserati’s 100th anniversary of its iconic emblem and its first competitive victory at the 1926 Targa Florio. It was at this historic race that the Trident, a symbol of strength and power, first appeared on a Maserati race car, later becoming an unmistakable signature across the brand’s production models. One hundred years later, that same passion for performance continues to live on in today’s Maseratis and in the connection the brand creates with those who admire them in the world’s most exclusive settings and those who drive them around the world.
