Inter Miami CF announced today that Iñigo Aznar has been named Chief Revenue Officer of Inter Miami and Nu Stadium as the Club continues its rapid and ambitious growth.

Aznar brings 25 years of international experience across fútbol, sports and entertainment, having held senior leadership positions with some of the most recognized organizations and properties in global sport, including Real Madrid CF, Atlético de Madrid, Legends, the Volvo Ocean Race and the Rafa Nadal Academy.

In his new role, Aznar will oversee the Club’s revenue and marketing functions, including Partnerships, Ticketing, Retail and Merchandise, Food & Beverage and Marketing, as well as Heron Sports & Entertainment, the company’s newest commercial platform focused on bringing major events, entertainment experiences, conferences and corporate meetings to Inter Miami’s venues.

His appointment comes at a defining stage in Inter Miami’s growth. With Inter Miami CF, Nu Stadium and the Florida Blue Training Center & Inter Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, the organization now operates a unique platform spanning global fútbol, live entertainment, premium hospitality, events and year-round commercial opportunities.

In his role, Aznar will focus on building on the Club’s commercial momentum and consolidating sustainable growth while supporting its broader ambitions and deepening its relationship with fans at home and around the world. This will include developing compelling experiences across Nu Stadium and digital platforms that strengthen fan engagement and continue to expand Inter Miami’s global audience.

Inter Miami conducted a comprehensive global search for the position, and Aznar arrives at the Club with more than two decades of experience driving revenue growth, commercial strategy, organizational transformation and international expansion across leading sports and entertainment businesses. His appointment represents another step in Inter Miami’s ambition to establish itself as a global reference in fútbol, sports and entertainment. Aznar will report directly to Inter Miami CF and Nu Stadium’s President of Business Operations, Xavier Asensi.

“The Chief Revenue Officer position responds to the strategy we put in place a few years ago, and with everything we have built in Miami, it makes complete sense,” said Asensi. "Íñigo brings a proven track record of building and scaling commercial businesses, and his experience, leadership, and global perspective make him an excellent addition to our organization.”

“Joining Inter Miami is a huge step for me, both professionally and personally,” said Aznar. “What the club has built in such a short time is unlike anything I’ve seen in global sports, and you can feel that ambition combined with a real sense of family around the Club. I’m excited to work with Xavier and the whole team, to bring my experience across sports, entertainment and international markets to the Club, and to help take Inter Miami and Heron Sports & Entertainment to the next level.”

Aznar joins Inter Miami after a career spanning some of the most prominent organizations in global fútbol and sports.

At Atlético de Madrid, he served as Chief Commercial Officer and Board of Directors Member, overseeing the Club’s global commercial business across partnerships, licensing, retail, e-commerce, international matches and new business. During his tenure, he led a broad commercial and organizational transformation that nearly tripled annual commercial revenues.

He also played a central role in Atlético de Madrid’s transition to the Metropolitano Stadium, redefining commercial inventory, developing premium products and new partnership assets, and helping build a new commercial model around the venue. The Metropolitano subsequently established itself as a major multipurpose destination for international fútbol, concerts and large-scale events, giving Aznar significant experience at the intersection of fútbol, venues and entertainment.

Earlier in his career, Aznar spent approximately six years at Real Madrid C.F., adding experience at one of the world’s most globally recognized sports organizations.

Beyond club fútbol, Aznar has developed an extensive international track record across sports and entertainment. At Legends, he led global partnerships and business development initiatives for leading sports and entertainment rights holders. As Head of Commercial Partnerships for the Volvo Ocean Race, a round-the-world sailing competition featuring stopover events in more than 11 countries across the globe every three years, he led the event’s global commercial strategy and execution across two editions.

Most recently, Aznar served as Managing Director for the international expansion of the Rafa Nadal Academy, with responsibility for the global academies business.

Aznar began his career in the sports marketing and consulting industry with Nielsen Sports, formerly Sport+Markt AG, where he helped establish the company’s Spanish subsidiary and worked with international sports rights holders across strategy, research and market development.
