Pedro Neto signs new Chelsea contract

The Portugal international arrived at Stamford Bridge two years ago and has since made 108 appearances for the Blues. In that time his tally for goals and assists is 40 for the club.

Neto played a crucial part in our UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup victories in 2025, scoring three times in the latter competition as we triumphed on the global stage.

This season Neto, 26, already has two goals to his name, including that brilliant strike on Wednesday which completed our rapid comeback against Leeds in the Carabao Cup.

‘It’s an unbelievable moment,’ said Neto after committing his future to the Blues.

‘From when I arrived, I have always felt like the people here helped me a lot. I feel like home here, I feel like I want to achieve more things here.

‘I have had some good moments here as a group and as an individual, and now I want to have more of those moments. I’m really excited because I think we can achieve a lot of things together.’

Neto joined Chelsea from Wolves in August 2024 and quickly became an integral part of the side that lifted two pieces of silverware that season.

Among many individual highlights were a superb first Premier League goal for the club, against Arsenal, and then a last-gasp winner at Craven Cottage that secured three precious points in our ultimately successful hunt for Champions League qualification. That goal against Fulham was voted by Blues fans as our best in 2024/25.

Neto has been a dependable and consistent performer for the past two years, whether deployed on either flank, as a false nine, in a number ten position or as a wing-back. We look forward to the next chapters of his Chelsea journey.
