OSS XL Early Results Pair Big Fields With Guarantee-Busting Finishes

ACR Poker’s OSS XL opened with $7,216,985 in prize pools over four days, as players generated 62,847 entries before tournament-flight entries were even added to the count.

Between Sept. 6 and Sept. 9, 93 tournaments played out and the completed numbered slate reached OSS XL #70. Thirty-three of those events finished above their guarantees, combining for $217,170 beyond the posted amounts.

At the top of the early prize-pool list is OSS XL #13. The $630 High Roller collected 1,118 entries, moved past its $600,000 guarantee and closed at $670,800. BADGERING’s first-place finish was worth $130,210.

A second six-figure result developed in OSS XL #16. Its 203 entries at $2,650 each built a $507,500 prize pool. Following a final-table deal, the results listed NewYorkMidgets first for $95,312, KevinParCoeur second for $93,875 and Olivander1 third for $87,459.

The largest field so far came from the lower end of the buy-in range at $16.50. OSS XL #11L Sunday Splash welcomed 4,752 entries from 3,024 unique players. The title and $10,953 went to lukewarmwater.

In OSS XL #12 Mystery Bounty tourney, the player in 43rd place secured the event’s top bounty of $15,120. It showed once again that the biggest score in a bounty event does not always wait for the final table.

Those results are also feeding three separate leaderboard races with more than $60,000 in added cash and tournament tickets. GROOTHEDEGEN leads the High division on 2,381.59 points, while FEEDTHEPENGUIN sits atop Medium with 599.85. The first-place prizes are $15,000 for High, $7,500 for Medium and $4,000 for Low.

Four multi-flights with $2.225 million in combined guarantees are also already underway. The series’ first Main Event flight arrives this Sunday, Sept. 13, with a $500,000 guarantee, a $66 direct buy-in and satellites beginning at $6.60. Day 1B is Sept. 20, followed by Day 2 on Sept. 27.
