Americas Cardroom Builds $7.2 Million in OSS XL Prize Pools

Americas Cardroom’s players had generated $7,216,985 in prize pools and 62,847 entries in the first four days of the OSS XL, not even counting entries from tournament flights.

From Sept. 6-9, 93 tournaments ran and the completed numbered events reached OSS XL #70. Of those tournaments, 33 exceeded their guarantees by a combined $217,170.

The biggest prize pool came with a high-stakes result. OSS XL #13, a $630 buy-in High Roller, attracted 1,118 entries. That lifted the tournament from a $600,000 guarantee to a $670,800 prize pool, with BADGERING taking first place for $130,210.

OSS XL #16 crossed the half-million-dollar line as well. The $2,650 tournament’s 203 entries produced a $507,500 prize pool. A final-table agreement ended with NewYorkMidgets listed first for $95,312, KevinParCoeur second for $93,875 and Olivander1 third for $87,459.

The largest field came at a very different buy-in. For $16.50, OSS XL #11L Sunday Splash drew 4,752 entries from 3,024 unique players. lukewarmwater collected $10,953 for the win.

In OSS XL #12, the 43rd-place finisher landed the Mystery Bounty tournament’s top bounty of $15,120, proving that the biggest bounty payday does not always come at the final table.

Away from the individual tournaments, the High and Medium leaderboard races have early front-runners. GROOTHEDEGEN holds 2,381.59 points to lead High, followed by 4435GOLDENBOY, BOW2ME, MIKEINTHEBIKE and RUCOSMONAUT. FEEDTHEPENGUIN is first in Medium with 599.85 points, with JUANG96, GAMBLING888, JBOYYY88 and INIT2MINIT completing the top five.

More than $60,000 in added cash and tournament tickets is spread across High, Medium and Low standings. Division winners receive $15,000, $7,500 and $4,000, respectively.

Four multi-flights with $2.225 million in combined guarantees are already underway. The first of three Main Events also opens this Sunday. The $66 event guarantees $500,000, with satellites available from $6.60.
