ACR Poker CEO Makes Two Final Tables as New Replayer Reveals Every Hand
Phil Nagy’s $88,800 OSS XL performance puts the transparency and study benefits of the site’s free, full-hole-card replay tool on display.
ACR Poker CEO Phil Nagy opened OSS XL with an $88,800 Sunday at the tables, reaching two final tables in tournaments from his own Phil’s Thrill lineup. His results also provided an immediate showcase for the site’s new FT Replayer, which allows anyone to revisit completed final tables with every player’s hole cards visible.
Competing under the username Justsomefish72, Nagy placed second in the $10,300 Phil’s Thrill and collected $78,000. The tournament drew 26 entries and generated a $260,000 prize pool. He later finished fifth in the $2,650 Mini Phil’s Thrill, adding $10,800 from a $90,000 prize pool to his Sunday total.
With the FT Replayer, every completed tournament final table is automatically added to a free online library, where viewers can examine each hand with all cards revealed. The feature is available through a web browser, with no ACR Poker account or software download needed.
“It is great for me to see some of the best players in the world show up each week with the confidence to play against me knowing I am the CEO of the site. The Final Table Replayer adds another layer to that confidence because once the final table is over, anyone can go back through every hand with every hole card exposed. And if anyone still thinks I am getting special treatment, SharkScope currently has me down more than $600,000 in scheduled WPN tournaments, so that probably helps too,” Nagy said with a laugh. “With OSS XL running right now, it is also a great study tool. Players can review opponents, review themselves and see exactly how the final table played out.”
Nagy launched the Phil’s Thrill tournaments to give players a regular opportunity to face the site’s high-stakes player pool. The lineup grew again Sunday with the debut of Mini Phil’s Thrill PLO. The $2,650 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament drew 54 entries and produced a $135,000 prize pool, with plans for the event to run every week.
The Replayer’s debut coincides with OSS XL, which runs Sept. 6–29 and features 336 events and more than $50 million in guarantees, giving players plenty of new final tables to watch and study throughout the month.
Anyone can access the ACR FT Replayer and review completed final tables hand by hand with every player’s cards exposed.
