ACS powers Oxfam’s new fashion rental platform
ACS is providing the operational infrastructure behind Oxfam’s new online clothing rental pilot, helping bring circular fashion to more consumers across the UK.
ACS, the circular fashion services platform backed by Circularity Capital, is supporting Oxfam’s new online clothing rental pilot, which launched ahead of the charity’s annual Second-Hand September campaign. The initiative enables customers to rent distinctive donated garments for 14 days, providing a new route for extending garment lifecycles while increasing access to more sustainable fashion choices.
Under the partnership, ACS manages garment preparation, cleaning, fulfilment, dispatch and returns. Every item is hand-checked, ozone-cleaned and prepared for reuse before being delivered to customers and returned for future rental, helping to maximise the useful life of donated clothing.
The platform offers hundreds of garments sourced from Oxfam’s donated stock, including vintage and designer pieces, alongside menswear supplied through a partnership with ACS. The pilot is designed to explore growing consumer demand for accessing fashion through rental rather than ownership, particularly for occasionwear and event dressing.
Anthony Burns, Chief Operating Officer at ACS, said:
“We are incredibly proud to partner with Oxfam on an initiative that demonstrates the power of circular innovation to deliver both environmental and social value. By providing the operational infrastructure behind Oxfam’s online rental proposition, we are helping to extend the life of garments, increase access to more sustainable fashion choices, and support the generation of vital funding for Oxfam’s important work around the world.”
The partnership highlights the increasing adoption of rental and reuse models within the fashion industry and demonstrates how specialist circular infrastructure can help organisations unlock greater value from existing products while reducing waste.
