WEBWIRE

Renault is upgrading Scenic E-Tech electric with new features and services to enhance comfort, connectivity and electric performance. Scenic now ships with:

  • an 89 kWh NMC battery with a WLTP range of up to 642 km and improved charging performance, with DC fast charging from 15% to 80% in just 28 minutes. Available now to order in France from €38,750 [2] or €270/month [3];
  • a 67 kWh LFP battery offering up to 467 km of WLTP range and DC fast charging improved by 25%, with a 15 to 80% achieved in 24 minutes. Available to order in France in autumn 2026 from €31,750 [2] or €240/month [4];
  • an enhanced digital experience with Google Gemini, 2 GB of data for 3 years and a Qi2 wireless charger;
  • enhanced design and comfort on board thanks to new seats on the Techno version, two new body colours, satin slate blue and exo galaxy grey, and two new wheels offered on the Techno and Iconic versions;
  • enhanced driver assistance systems and new personalisation features for increased comfort and safety;
  • a range of accessories for families and pets.

A new-generation 100% electric family car, sustainably designed and equipped with useful technologies, Scenic E-Tech electric remains light (less than 1,900 kg), compact (4.47 m) and still as pleasant to drive in the city as on the road, with a range now reaching up to 642 km WLTP.

Scenic fully meets its vocation as the main vehicle of the household, designed for daily journeys as well as for long trips. Elected “Car of the Year 2024”, it continues to offer a quality of life on board that is an integral part of its DNA, with a pleasure shared by all occupants.

To achieve this, Scénic E-Tech electric relies on its fundamentals, comfort, clarity and generous living space, as well as on its on-board technologies, including the openR link screen, the solarbay panoramic roof, 11 kW and 22 kW bidirectional chargers, and regenerative braking with steering wheel paddles and One Pedal function.

Like the other models in the electric range, Renault is enriching Scénic E-Tech electric, in order to fully exploit the advantages of electric mobility and offer an ever simpler, more practical experience adapted to real life and thus meet the expectations of individuals and professionals alike.

Increased range and improved charging performance

With the 220 hp motor, Scenic E-Tech electric is now available with a choice of two new batteries offering greater range and shorter charging times at DC fast-charging points.

The 89 kWh NMC long range battery delivers a WLTP range of up to 642 km while cutting DC fast-charging times by 25%. Scenic now charges from 15% to 80% in 28 minutes with peak charging power of 150 kW.

A 67 kWh LFP comfort range battery will be available at a later date. Delivering a WLTP range of up to 467 km, this battery also cuts DC fast charging time by 25%, charging from 15% to 80% in 24 minutes.

Already available with New Megane E-Tech electric, the LFP technology complements the NMC offering with a robust, affordable and versatile alternative. It uses the cell-to-pack (C2P) architecture introduced on New Megane E-Tech electric: a world first with 232 closely packed pouch cells, enabling packing efficiency of 53%, boosting both range and efficiency. Fast charging is also improved, with DC peak charging power increased to 165 kW.

Enhanced interior atmospheres and exterior design

Scenic E-Tech electric gains an upgraded cabin design with new interior trim.

On the Techno trim, the front seats and rear bench feature a new PET fabric with recycled yarn content of over 95%, combined with a textured coated fabric containing at least 12% of recycled material. The design has been upgraded for greater comfort and support. The dashboard is now finished in carbon black, with a textured coated fabric accentuated by topstitching in the shape of a lightning bolt, inspired by the world of electric vehicles.

The Esprit Alpine finish gains a new interior trim featuring a “spectral titanium” effect in shades ranging from black to other hues inspired by the light spectrum. These trim parts now contain at least 75% of recycled material (ABS-PC). The Iconic finish is still available with two interior colourways in textured coated fabric. The titanium black interior gains a new cubic grey trim with a raised surface, integrated with a recycled plastic part, while the optional light grey interior ships with a lime wood trim.

On the outside, Scenic E-Tech electric is now available in seven body colours, including two new shades: satin blue slate and exo galaxy grey.

At the same time, the front and rear bumper splitters take on a gloss black finish, while two new 19-inch and 20-inch wheels of original design make their appearance in the range. The aero wheel covers, fitted to the 20-inch Iconic, contain at least 72 % of recycled material.

Enhanced driver assistance features

Adaptive Cruise Control (standard) and Active Driver Assist, available on some models, have been upgraded to provide a more detailed analysis of the surroundings and traffic conditions.

The new Multi Target function tracks several vehicles simultaneously in order to better identify vehicles merging, cutting in or slowing down. This makes for a smoother driving experience, particularly in heavy traffic.

Active Driver Assist has been upgraded to make everyday driving even more convenient and safer:

  • To help drivers understand their surroundings, the “realistic view” on Active Driver Assist has been enhanced to show detected vehicles more clearly.

  • Temporary lateral positioning within the lane is now more responsive and remains available up to 70 km/h.

  • Emergency stop assist is now provided to slow the vehicle to a complete stop if the driver fails to respond.

  • The predictive eco-driving function uses connected maps to anticipate roundabouts, bends and junctions, and provides recommendations to the driver to optimise energy consumption by up to 6%.

For the driving experience, the Multi-Sense system has been updated and now includes the new Smart mode, which automatically switches between Eco, Comfort and Sport modes depending on driving style. For example, it instantly delivers the response of Sport mode when overtaking, then switches to Eco mode for more relaxed driving – particularly in cities – in order to optimise energy consumption without any input from the driver.

Safety and personalisation at the heart of the driving experience

Scenic E-Tech electric is now equipped with advanced driver monitoring as standard across all versions; this function uses an in-car camera to detect fatigue and distraction. Looking beyond regulatory functions, Renault is using this camera to enhance the in-car experience with driver recognition. As a result, the vehicle delivers a personalised welcome, including preferred settings for the driving position, multimedia system, navigation and even the mood lighting.

To provide support for drivers and reduce the risk of accidents, Scenic E-Tech electric has also upgraded Safety Score and Safety Coach. The Safety Score now includes driver alertness detection for a more detailed driving analysis.

The Safety Monitor is now available as a dashboard widget, displaying tips in real time.

Enhanced connectivity for a simpler experience

Scenic E-Tech electric ships with the openR link system with Google built-in, updated regularly to provide an even simpler and smoother experience. Google Maps 1 gains new route planning customisation options, such as the choice of charging network, power output of charging points or payment method.

Gemini[1], Google’s AI assistant, is now available as an alternative to Google Assistant; users can choose whether or not to enable it. Gemini allows drivers to interact with their vehicle in natural language, to manage more complex requests and to receive context-sensitive responses, while keeping their eyes on the road.

To use the apps downloaded from Google Play, customers now receive 2 GB of data per month for 3 years or until the end of their lease agreement with Mobilize Financial Services (except when the vehicle is financed through a conventional credit agreement). This new data plan makes it easy to enjoy multimedia content, equivalent to around 40 hours of audio streaming or up to 3 hours of video. Users requiring more data can continue to use their smartphone tethering function.

Scenic also ships with an induction charger compliant with the standard Qi2 (or MagSafe on iPhone), compatible with the latest generation of smartphones. This magnetic ventilated charger lets drivers charge their phone easily, without a cable and with less risk of overheating.

A range of accessories designed for family use

Scenic ships with a range of stylish accessories designed for in-car comfort:

  • a small, compact storage tray that is easy to fit, remove and clean, keeping the interior tidy at all times
  • a new double boot floor with an easy-to-access storage compartment, creating a flat floor when the rear seats are folded down
  • a large, foldable storage box that fits in the second row, for tidying children’s belongings or charging cables, depending on the driver’s needs
  • a Handpresso coffee machine to enjoy a coffee break while the car is charging;
  • an Aero Cargo Box™ mounted on the tow bar adding 310 litres of capacity to the vehicle’s 545-litre boot, with minimal impact on range.

  • a closed centre console organiser, with a storage compartment and a built-in cup holder and bottle holder;
  • a car seat and safety lead for pets;
