Bailey departs for Olympiacos

Aston Villa can confirm that Leon Bailey has completed a permanent transfer to Olympiacos.

Since joining the club in 2021, Leon has been a key part of our recent journey and he leaves the club having played his part in Villa winning the UEFA Europa League last term.

He joined from Bayer Leverkusen and went on to make 163 appearances in claret and blue, scoring 23 goals and registering 25 assists. His sparkling 2023/24 campaign, in which he netted 14 times, helped the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time.

An exciting winger, capable of both scoring and assisting, Leon was a popular figure among his teammates and around the training ground with his exuberant personality, and he leaves Aston Villa with the very best wishes of everyone at the football club.
