LITHOS 8000 takes second place in MBUK’s e-Bike of the Year

WEBWIRE

The LITHOS 8000 has beaten big-name rivals to take second place in the MBUK / BikeRadar ’e-Bike of the Year’ test, with the testers saying that the “enduro-focused Lithos 8000 boasts exceptionally supple suspension, natural handling and great composure at speed”.

With an excellent 4.5 / 5 score - the same as the winning bike - it was praised for having the ability to take on the steepest and toughest enduro trails. It was also highlighted as being a simple but highly effective package with balanced handling and a well-sorted kit list. Against rivals with more complicated geometry and shock adjustment, the bike’s ease of setup, forgiving suspension, and easy-to-get-on-with nature were seen as strengths for both novice and experienced riders.

With the focus of the LITHOS aimed at being ’fast on any terrain’, it was also satisfying that the geometry and suspension were praised as being planted and traction-rich for both steep uphill climbing and technical descending, both on steep trails and at speed. It was highlighted as being less demanding of the rider, while still producing exceptional speed and control.

With the latest 120 Nm CX drive system and a removable 800 Wh battery as standard, it was also the top-placed Bosch-powered e-bike on test. As with all LITHOS models, the 8000 can also be used with the smaller 600 Wh PowerTube battery if lower weight is desired, but on test the standard setup offered up excellent range for all-day riding.
