Astellas Becomes Host City Partner for One Young World 2027 Tokyo Summit

Astellas Pharma Inc. (TSE: 4503, President and CEO: Naoki Okamura, “Astellas”) today announced that it has become the first Host City Partner for the One Young World 2027 Tokyo Summit (“the Summit”), the world’s largest gatherings of young leaders.

The Summit is scheduled to take place at the Tokyo International Forum from September 28 to October 1, 2027, with more than 2,000 young leaders from over 190 countries expected to attend. Delegates will discuss global social, environmental and economic challenges and their solutions, while exploring new ideas and opportunities for collaboration across sectors and borders to help build a better future.

As a Host City Partner, Astellas will work closely with One Young World and other strategic partners to support the success of this globally diverse event in Japan. Astellas began collaborating with One Young World Japan in 2018 with the creation of an internal global leader accelerator and has additionally served as a Platform Partner since 2025. Becoming a Host City Partner further strengthens the partnership between the two organizations, and will see its CEO, Mr. Naoki Okamura, become One Young World’s first ever Counsellor from Japan.
