Three Non-Executive Directors join Barclays UK Board
Barclays Bank UK PLC is today announcing the appointment of Stacey Madge, Adam Banks and Kelly Richdale as Non-Executive Directors to its Board.
As part of Board succession planning, they will join on 01 September 2026.
Stacey Madge brings extensive senior leadership experience across retail banking and payments, as well as SME banking. Stacey was previously President and Country Manager for Visa Canada, where she led the expansion of the business into new digital partnerships, product innovations and real-time payments, and was formerly Head of International Retail and Small Business Banking for the International Banking Group of Scotiabank. Stacey is currently a Non-Executive Director at Sun Life Financial Inc and the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Adam Banks brings deep digital and technology experience as former Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital Officer of A.P. Møller Mærsk, and in similar roles at Monitise and Visa Europe. He brings expertise in cloud, data, and enterprise architecture modernisation, alongside operational resilience and cyber security. Formerly, Adam was a Non-Executive Director of TSB Banking Group PLC and Chair of its Technology Committee. Adam is currently a Non-Executive Director at Thames Water Utilities Limited, Tahoe Topco Limited, a holding company of the Finastra Group, several Vitality Group entities and is Chair of the Digital Container Shipping Association and AuDHD UK.
Kelly Richdale brings significant expertise across digital customer experience, cybersecurity and emerging technologies. Her entrepreneurial career spans founder and senior executive roles, scaling businesses in identity management, blockchain, AI and quantum-safe cybersecurity. Kelly was a member of the Swiss government’s Innovation Council and an Executive Fellow at the World Economic Forum, focusing on AI and quantum industry transformation. Kelly sits on the boards of Edenred SE, a leading services and payments platform and Assura Group, a Swiss health insurer, as well as chairing Pimloc Limited, a company providing AI privacy and intelligence solutions.
All three will join the Barclays UK Board Risk Committee, Stacey Madge will join the Barclays UK Board Audit Committee and Kelly Richdale will join the Barclays UK Remuneration Committee.

The changes arise from Board succession planning with the retirement from the Board shortly of Bernadette Wightman, after four years, and Michael Jary and Chris Pilling who are due to retire at the end of 2026, following nine years’ service. As a result, as of 01 September 2026 the Barclays Bank UK PLC Board will comprise:
