ACR Poker Pro Alex Foxen Leads GPI POY Race, Sits Just 18 Points Off Card Player Lead

ACR Poker Pro Alex Foxen enters the next stage of the 2026 tournament calendar leading the Global Poker Index Player of the Year standings and trailing the Card Player lead by only 18 points.

The GPI table has Foxen first with 4,480.04 points and Tony “Ren” Lin second with 4,321.52. That 158.52-point difference reflects a scoring system built from a player’s top 13 qualifying results in open events, meaning new finishes can still reshape the race.

Card Player has Brandon Wilson first at 7,127 points and Foxen second at 7,109. Foxen has compiled five titles, 12 final tables and $4,229,256 in POY-qualified winnings. Third-place Jesse Lonis has 6,481 points.

Foxen built his position with wins across different formats and field sizes. He took down PGT Last Chance Event #6 for $232,400, MSPT Poker Bowl X for $165,235 and U.S. Poker Open Event #7 for $210,000. His largest first-place payout came at Triton Jeju, where the $75,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max title paid $1.26 million.

At the World Series of Poker, Foxen won the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty event for $594,246 and his fourth bracelet. Other deep finishes helped lift his summer totals to 14 cashes and $2,067,005 in listed payouts.

Those results included fourth in the $25,000 Heads-Up Championship for $300,000, sixth in the $100,000 High Roller for $522,347, seventh in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller for $267,993 and fifth in the $10,000 8-Game Championship for $94,730.

Foxen joined the ACR Poker Pro roster with Chance Kornuth and Chris Hunichen on May 28. Four of his five qualifying victories came before the announcement, while the bracelet highlighted his first summer with ACR Poker.

The GPI title would be Foxen’s third following consecutive victories in 2018 and 2019. He is still pursuing his first Card Player Player of the Year award after five prior top-four finishes.

Foxen placed third in that race in 2018 and 2025, second in 2019, and fourth in 2021 and 2022.
