Tim Hortons® unveils Back to Hogwarts-themed restaurant takeover in Toronto to celebrate Harry Potter™ collaboration

To celebrate the recent launch of Harry Potter-inspired menu items, merch, limited-edition packaging and more that is now available at Tims® restaurants across Canada, the Tim Hortons restaurant at 815 Caledonia Rd. in Toronto has been given a magical makeover!

The iconic Tims restaurant exterior has been replaced with a stunning Harry Potter x Tim Hortons design inspired by the collaboration’s limited-edition packaging which is full of easter eggs for Harry Potter fans.

The interior of the restaurant features a magical makeover with celebratory displays inspired by moments and scenes from the Harry Potter film series including Platform 9 ¾ and the Hogwarts Great Hall – complete with a Sorting Hat themed photo opportunity for guests to experience.

“We want Harry Potter fans to be able to imagine that they have stepped into the wizarding world the moment they arrive for their Tims Run,” says Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons.

“From Platform 9 ¾ to the Great Hall and Sorting Hat, every detail of this magical celebration was designed to spark that same sense of wonder so many of us felt when discovering the wizarding world for the first time. And the experience pairs perfectly with the Harry Potter x Tim Hortons menu fans already love.”

The themed restaurant will open to guests today at 5:00 p.m. and will be available for guests to experience for a limited time!

Show your House Pride with Hogwarts House Donuts

Guests can choose the Gryffindor Strawberry Cheesecake Donut, the Slytherin Chocolate Pistachio Donut, the Ravenclaw Blueberry Donut, or the Hufflepuff Lemon Meringue Donut. Plus, everyone can enjoy Golden Snitch Caramel Timbits® and order them in a limited-edition Golden Snitch Timbits Holder.

Reveal Patronuses on a temperature-activated, colour-changing cup

Order Patronus Sparkling QuenchersTM or Forbidden Forest Iced Tea Quenchers and it will be served in a limited-edition cup that reveals a trail of Patronuses when it’s filled with its cold Quenchers. Patronus Sparkling Quenchers can also be customized with lemonade, protein dairy beverage, or frozen. Forbidden Forest Iced Tea Quenchers will be available at participating Tims restaurants where fountain beverages are served.

Collectable Harry Potter x Tim Hortons merchandise

In addition to the Golden Snitch Timbits Holder, participating Tims restaurants will also carry gift cards with a limited-edition Harry Potter “25 Years of Magic” design.

Harry Potter Trivia Night

On Aug. 28, participating Tim Hortons restaurants will host a Harry Potter Trivia Night to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the first Harry Potter film and the kickoff of the annual Back to Hogwarts celebration.

From Aug. 17 to Sept. 6, guests who place an order at a Tims restaurant and scan for Tims Rewards, in the Tim Hortons app, or on TimShop.ca will be entered into a contest with a chance to win one of two grand prizes, each consisting of a magical Harry Potter VIP experience for two in London, England.
