ACR Poker Puts First-Person Stories at Center of New 14-Part WSOP Interview Series

Alex Foxen opens the weekly series, sharing the defining hands, personal moments and lessons from his standout 2026 WSOP run.

San Jose, Costa Rica – WEBWIRE

ACR Poker is launching a 14-part weekly editorial interview series that gives readers a first-person look at the 2026 WSOP, with Alex Foxen opening the project after one of the strongest summers of his career.

Foxen captured his fourth career bracelet in the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em event, earning $594,246. Across the series, he recorded 14 cashes and more than $2 million in listed payouts.

The new editorial format is built to move beyond a conventional results recap. Participants take part in natural interviews or voice-note conversations that are developed into full features, allowing the stories to center on decisions, memories, frustrations and lessons that may not appear in standard tournament coverage.

Foxen’s installment includes a breakdown of the pivotal three-way all-in that helped propel him toward bracelet No. 4, along with discussion of his seventh-place finish in the $25,000 High Roller Pot Limit Omaha event and his final-table appearance in the $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em event.

One of the interview’s most personal threads is the summer Alex and his wife, Kristen Foxen shared. Kristen won the sixth bracelet of her career in the $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em event, and Alex later won his fourth. Rather than select his own victory as the moment he expects to remember most, Foxen pointed to presenting Kristen with her bracelet and celebrating her accomplishment from the other side of the stage.

He also speaks about what still needs work despite his results, the hands and near misses that stay with him, and two lessons from the summer: a deeper appreciation for mixed games and a clearer understanding of how fatigue can affect execution over a demanding series.

Foxen is the first of 14 planned participants. The lineup also includes Chris Hunichen, Chris Moorman, Chance Kornuth, Chris Moneymaker, Robert Kuhn, Katie Lindsay, Jeff Boski, Ana Marquez, Drew Gonzalez, Monika Zukowicz, Jon Pardy, Michael Loncar, and Rene and Casey Nezhoda.

One new feature is planned each week. Individual publication dates have not been assigned to the full lineup, and the running order may change as interviews are completed and approved.

Foxen’s complete story is available through ACR Poker News, where readers can also follow the upcoming interviews in the 14-part series.
