Huawei’s MB˛ antenna won the 2026 Red Dot Design Award for its simple and green design and excellent commercial performance, standing out from a long list of competitors.

The MB2 antenna is an integrated multi-band and multi-beam solution. It features a cylindrical design that effectively reduces wind load and a truncated conical top that prevents water pooling and bird nesting. Its stepped base adds extra convenience to installation and movement. This elegant, compact design, alongside its superior installation flexibility that allows it to adapt to dense infrastructure settings, earned the device resounding praise from the judges.

Huawei’s MB2 antenna has been validated in over 10 networks around the world and is set to enter commercial rollout soon. During the validation, it has been widely recognized for its simple design, effortless deployment, and high spectral efficiency.

  • Simple design: A single MB2 antenna supports up to 10 directions and eight frequency bands (13 GHz, 15 GHz, 18 GHz, 23 GHz, 26 GHz, 28 GHz, 32 GHz, and 38 GHz), reducing the number of antennas needed by up to 90%. This significantly reduces footprint and load on towers, bringing down rental costs.

  • Effortless deployment: A new direction can be added simply by adding a feed of the target frequency band. This helps cut down the time for installation and alignment from 3 hours to just 20 minutes.

  • High spectral efficiency: The antenna works with Huawei’s unique co-channel interference cancellation algorithm to decrease spectrum reuse angles within the same frequency band from 90° to 15°, yielding an up to fourfold spectral efficiency boost.
