Coalition for Decentralized Healthcare and Life Sciences Recognized by United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance

The Coalition for Decentralized Healthcare and Life Sciences (CDHLS) announces its recognition as a featured initiative on the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance Partnerships Hub, positioning the coalition as a global stakeholder in shaping the future of artificial intelligence governance in healthcare and life sciences.

CDHLS’s initiative, “Decentralized Health Systems Adoption at Scale,” is listed under three of the Global Dialogue’s thematic clusters: Bridging AI Divides, Safe/Secure and Trustworthy AI, and Human Rights/Transparency and Oversight. The initiative advances the application of Decentralized AI (DeAI) technologies to address healthcare needs not adequately served by today’s leading commercial AI platforms.

Why This Matters
Commercial AI platforms have recently introduced enterprise grade healthcare offerings, but these platforms share critical limitations for specialized clinical applications: they are trained on general purpose datasets, offer limited transparency into model provenance and training methodology, and create strategic vendor dependencies that expose healthcare organizations to supplychain concentration risk.

CDHLS addresses these limitations by advancing a structured, repeatable framework that healthcare organizations and communities can employ to launch early stage investigations and DeAI pilots — grounded in stakeholder validated requirements, traceable to ethical imperatives, and informed by up-to-date assessments of emerging DeAI technologies.
