ESPN Spotlights Americas Cardroom Pro Alex Foxen in WSOP Main Event Coverage

Americas Cardroom Pro Alex Foxen became a recurring presence in the first two episodes of ESPN’s 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event coverage.

The episodes premiered July 21 on ESPN2 and followed action from the opening flights and Day 2 of poker’s biggest tournament.

Foxen appeared repeatedly as he accumulated chips, applied pressure and worked through difficult decisions. His Americas Cardroom Pro patch remained visible as ESPN developed his run as part of the early Main Event storyline.

A standout sequence showed Foxen facing an all-in decision against Vinh Nguyen. Foxen listened closely to Nguyen’s table talk, took time to assess the situation and made the correct call before collecting another substantial pot.

The hand offered viewers a close look at the patience and observational skills behind Foxen’s tournament success.

Foxen joined the Americas Cardroom Pro team in May with Chance Kornuth and Chris Hunichen. He arrived at the Main Event after a big summer, including winning the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em event for $594,246 and his fourth WSOP bracelet.

Team Pro Chris Moneymaker also appeared in the opening coverage, extending Americas Cardroom’s presence across two distinct eras of televised poker.

Moneymaker’s 2003 Main Event victory, which began with a low-buy-in online satellite, became one of ESPN’s most influential poker stories and helped introduce the game to a broader audience.

ESPN’s multi-year WSOP agreement provides more than 100 hours of coverage, including Main Event episodes and three nights of live final-table programming.

More Main Event episodes will air on ESPN2, followed by final-table coverage August 3-5 on ESPN and ESPN2.
