Mark A. Klein Releases “Thoughts of a Daydreamer”
A Simple Book of Poems, a Heartfelt Collection of Faith, Love, Family, Memory, and Life’s Quiet Moments.
Written across more than two decades, this approachable poetry collection captures the thoughts, prayers, emotions, and everyday experiences that shape a meaningful life.
Some poems are not planned. They arrive quietly, in the middle of a memory, a prayer, a feeling, or a daydream that refuses to disappear. In “Thoughts of a Daydreamer: A Simple Book of Poems,” author Mark A. Klein gathers those moments into one sincere and deeply personal collection.
Published by The Ewings Publishing, “Thoughts of a Daydreamer” invites readers into a journey through love, faith, family, gratitude, grief, reflection, and imagination. Written over a span of twenty-five years, the book is exactly what its subtitle promises: simple poems that speak from the heart. It is not a collection that tries to complicate life. Instead, it slows life down long enough for readers to feel it.
Klein writes with the honesty of someone who has paid attention to ordinary moments and found meaning in them. The poems move through affection, longing, spiritual reflection, personal memories, family bonds, and darker seasons of struggle. Some pieces are tender and romantic. Some are prayerful. Some are reflective. Some are sad. Together, they create a portrait of a life observed with feeling, faith, and humility.
Readers will find poems that celebrate the beauty of love and devotion, including pieces such as Remember This, Making Memories, Wedding Day, and Light of My Life. They will also encounter spiritual and reflective poems such as Let the Rain Come Down, A Morning Prayer, Having Faith, The Way, and Forgiveness. As the book continues, it widens into life’s harder paths and cherished family memories through poems such as Dark Places, Moving On, In Hard Times, My Little Man, My Brothers, My Grandma, A Letter to Dad, and Mother You Will Always Be.
That range is what gives the collection its quiet power. “Thoughts of a Daydreamer” does not speak from one single mood. It follows the human heart as it changes - hopeful one moment, nostalgic the next, then grateful, searching, lonely, joyful, or prayerful. It is a book for readers who know that life is rarely one emotion at a time.
The collection is also a meaningful gift for people who appreciate heartfelt poetry, Christian inspiration, family-centered reflections, and writing that carries the feeling of lived experience. It is especially fitting for readers who enjoy poems that are not distant or overly abstract, but sincere, accessible, and grounded in real emotion.
Klein’s work reminds readers that even the smallest thought can matter. A memory, a prayer, a loved one’s smile, a quiet loss, a family bond, or a passing dream can become something worth keeping. “Thoughts of a Daydreamer” preserves those moments and shares them with anyone who has ever looked back on life and wished they had the words to describe what they felt.

About the Author
Mark A. Klein is from a small river town in Southern Illinois. Born the youngest of six boys, he was raised with a good Christian upbringing. Although poetry was not something he originally saw as part of his path, life gave him time alone, room for his mind to wander, and many experiences worth capturing. Through the demands of being a parent, moving with his career, and finding that special someone, Klein began writing poems from impulse and inspiration. He now shares this collection in the hope that his words may help someone along the way or give readers something to dream about.
