Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3: One tread pattern delivering the broadest winter tire coverage on the market
Goodyear is further expanding its award-winning [1] UltraGrip Performance 3 range to an impressive 344 SKUs, adding 66 new SKUs that open the door to even more vehicle fitments across Europe. With this milestone Goodyear now offers the broadest winter coverage available in the market from a single winter tread pattern [2], simplifying customer choice while extending proven performance to more drivers than ever before.
“Today’s winter tire market is more complex than ever, with more vehicle types, sizes and requirements than before,” said Ben Glesener, Senior Technology Director, Product Development Consumer EMEA Goodyear. “By offering 344 SKUs within a single winter tire pattern, UltraGrip Performance 3 cuts through that complexity, making it easier to choose a tire that delivers proven performance across a wide range of vehicles.”
Unmatched Coverage, Simplified Choice
From city commuters to high-powered EVs and SUVs, Europe’s vehicle landscape is evolving fast. With UltraGrip Performance 3, Goodyear is setting a new benchmark for how widely a single winter tire pattern can serve this changing market.
Goodyear now delivers the widest coverage available through one tread pattern.2 While other brands either offer more limited fitment ranges or rely on multiple patterns to achieve similar coverage, Goodyear does it differently: one design, 344 SKUs, and a fitment reach that continues to grow. The 66 new SKUs represent entirely new fitments for Goodyear, enabling the brand to serve vehicles previously unreached and helping customers and drivers find the right tire more easily.
Notably, over 90% of these new SKUs are in 19-inch and above dimensions, reflecting the continued market growth in larger rim sizes. The expanded range spans 14" to 23", ensuring fitment across Europe’s evolving car parc while also better supporting vehicles with mixed fitments.
The expansion also reinforces Goodyear’s presence across both replacement and original equipment, with 59 replacement SKUs and 7 OE fitments added. In the replacement market, the range includes fitments for vehicles such as Volvo EX60, BMW X3 M50, Lucid Gravity, and EVs like Škoda Elroq RS, Audi A6 e-tron and Polestar 5. At the same time, new original equipment fitments further strengthen partnerships with leading manufacturers, including new OE fitments such as BMW iX3, Porche Cayenne Electric and Mercedes-Benz GLC EQ.
Growing a Proven Winner
The tire continues to deliver top results in independent testing, most recently securing first place in the ADAC Winter Tire Test in both 2024 and 2025 [3], confirming its consistent high level of performance. In addition to its overall test wins, the UltraGrip Performance 3 also stood out for its exceptional mileage, with ADAC recognizing a predicted mileage of 76,500 kilometres, outlasting major competitors and enabling drivers to go further for longer while maximizing the value of every journey.[4] As further recognition, Auto Bild named Goodyear Top Manufacturer of the Year 2025 in the winter tires category, citing the outstanding performance of the UltraGrip Performance 3 in its latest tests.[5]
Designed to deliver strong braking and handling performance on snow, wet and dry roads, UltraGrip Performance 3 reflects what drivers say they value most when choosing a winter tire: reliable performance across all winter conditions.[6] Its capabilities are driven by Goodyear innovations such as Snow Protect Technology, which enhances traction on snow, and Wet Grip+ Technology, designed to optimize braking and control on wet roads.
Developed to meet the demands of both electric and traditional vehicles, it also incorporates efficiency-focused features, including reduced rolling resistance and lower interior noise [7], supporting a smooth and refined driving experience across different powertrains.
