ACR Players Foxen and Zamani Move On as Moneymaker Exits WSOP Main Event
Online poker site remains represented by two players heading into Day 5.
ACR Poker Pro Alex Foxen and Ambassador Martin Zamani have secured spots in Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event, while Chris Moneymaker’s tournament ended on the money bubble.
Moneymaker, who won the Main Event in 2003, was one of three players eliminated at the same time in Event #82, the $10,000 WSOP Main Event No-Limit Hold’em World Championship.
The ACR Pro was officially listed in 1,382nd place with $10,000 in recorded earnings.
Foxen advanced with 1,695,000 chips after Day 4, while Zamani closed the session with 545,000. With blinds set to resume at 10,000/20,000, Foxen will return with roughly 85 big blinds. Zamani will begin Day 5 with approximately 27.
Foxen’s latest deep run continues an impressive series that has already produced a fourth career WSOP bracelet.
He captured Event #44, the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, after overcoming a 466-entry field. The victory came with $594,246 in listed prize money.
Foxen also collected $522,347 for a sixth-place finish in Event #36, the $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, and $300,000 for placing fourth in Event #7, the $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship.
Zamani has delivered three fourth-place finishes during the series, earning a combined $881,904 from those appearances.
His biggest result came in Event #70, the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, where he earned $445,080.
Zamani also received $245,467 for fourth place in Event #33, the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship, and $191,357 for finishing fourth in the Super Turbo Bounty event won by Foxen.
Several other ACR Poker Pros have also posted strong finishes during the series.
Chance Kornuth took sixth in Event #24, the $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed, for $218,091. Chris Hunichen earned $211,842 after finishing 10th in the $100,000 High Roller.
Chris Moorman also reached a final table, placing seventh in Event #79, the $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em, for $101,900.
With Foxen and Zamani still in contention, ACR Poker will have two opportunities to add another major result when the WSOP Main Event continues on Day 5.
