The Festival includes workshops both for specialists and open to everyone, alongside a schedule of meetings and conversations with the artists featured.

The 20th International Festival of Contemporary Dance, titled TIME DOES NOT EXIST and directed by Wayne McGregor, kicks off on 17 July and continues until 1 August. The Festival will combine the scheduled performances with workshops, films, books, installations and meetings, to mark the occasion of its twentieth edition.
Dance is for everyoneThe Festival includes workshops, aimed at specialists but also open to the general public: a chance to experience dance as a daily practice guided by several companies and choreographers including Emanuel Gat, Mamela Nyamza, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Andrea Salustri, Omar Rajeh, Kalle Nio, Eiko Otake, Adam Linder, and Winndance. Among the many meetings and conversations with guest artists, held as usual after the performances to satisfy the audience’s curiosity, two special events will take place at the headquarters of La Biennale, at Ca’ Giustinian: Molissa Fenley on July 28 at 6:00 pm, who laid the foundations of post-modern dance, and the American choreographer John Neumeier on July 31 at 11:00 am, who rewrote the history of contemporary ballet alongside Jiří Kylián and William Forsythe, with whom he grew up at Cranko’s school.
