FIAT and the Governorate of the Vatican City State together for sustainable micromobility

WEBWIRE

FIAT announces a shared commitment with the Governorate of the Vatican City State, reinforcing a shared commitment to more sustainable and responsible mobility through innovative, fully electric solutions.

FIAT will provide a dedicated fleet of 30 vehicles — including Topolinos and TRIS — designed to support the daily mobility needs within the Vatican City State. These vehicles will be used by employees of the Governorate for internal operations and activities, contributing to more efficient, practical and low-impact mobility.

The introduction of this fully electric fleet is aligned with the environmental strategy promoted by the Governorate of the Vatican City State, which has launched a sustainable mobility development program known as “Ecological Conversion 2030,” aimed at reducing the CO₂ footprint of its vehicle fleet. This decarbonization journey — with the objective of achieving a zero-emissions fleet by the end of the decade — is fully aligned with FIAT’s own strategy, which aims to make the mobility of both goods and people increasingly sustainable through its micromobility solutions.

The first 20 vehicles were delivered at the Governorate headquarters, at the presence of His Excellency Archbishop Emilio Nappa, the lawyer Giuseppe Puglisi-Alibrandi, Secretaries General of the Governorate, and Olivier Francois, FIAT CEO and Stellantis CMO.

This ceremony anticipated a broader event held in Rome, dedicated to the full FIAT micromobility unit, where the brand presented its vision for the future of compact urban mobility and its expanding role in this rapidly evolving segment.
