RBC powers EV confidence as the Champion Sponsor of Plug’n Drive’s Cross-Canada Tour

Experience EVs firsthand at Plug’n Drive events nationwide and enter for a chance to win 250,000 Avion Reward Points

TORONTO – WEBWIRE

For the second consecutive year, RBC is the Champion Sponsor for Plug’n Drive’s EV’s are for EVeryone Cross-Canada Tour, which runs all year round. The tour features the Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre in Toronto, EV Roadshows in 10 provinces, and Mobile EV Education Trailers (MEETs) in 10 communities across four provinces, providing Canadians with hands-on opportunities to compare multiple electric vehicle (EV) models in one place, ask questions and learn from EV experts.

“Passenger vehicles account for about 11 per cent of Canada’s total emissions – a significant portion that demands action,” said Thea Silver, senior director, environmental impact, RBC. “While EV adoption is progressing in Canada, concerns about affordability and access to charging continue to be barriers. That is why RBC is collaborating with Plug’n Drive, an organization that brings fact-based information and test drives to communities across Canada – helping people consider the switch with confidence.”

“While interest in electric vehicles is high, upfront affordability and long-term financial predictability are critical factors for Canadian households right now. That is why this tour is so vital—it allows us to look past the sticker price and educate Canadians on the total cost of ownership, where EVs consistently prove to be the better financial choice. We are incredibly grateful for RBC’s renewed support as our Champion Sponsor, helping us make electric transportation accessible and affordable for everyone,” said Cara Clairman, president and CEO of Plug’n Drive.
