The UEFA Executive Committee has appointed Stéphanie Frappart to the position of Refereeing Officer on the UEFA Referees Committee.

Frappart has built one of the most prominent refereeing careers in the modern game. An international referee since 2010, she has officiated more than 100 UEFA matches during a career marked by consistency, professionalism and a series of landmark appointments, including the 2019 UEFA Super Cup between Liverpool and Chelsea in Istanbul, when she became the first female official to oversee a UEFA men’s title match.

She was also the first woman to referee a men’s Ligue 1 match, a men’s UEFA Champions League match, and a men’s FIFA World Cup match, further underlining her status among sport’s most accomplished officials

In her new role, Frappart will contribute to the strategic development of refereeing across Europe, supporting UEFA’s work in referee appointments, performance monitoring, technical guidance and the continued development of match officials for UEFA competitions.

UEFA would like to thank departing Referee Officer Dagmar Damková for her significant contribution to elite refereeing over the years. Her dedication, expertise and service have been greatly valued and appreciated.
