Maserati Trident Stars: a new constellation of the Trident is born

On the occasion of the centenary of the Trident logo, Maserati presents Trident Stars, an innovative project that takes the Brand’s symbol beyond the boundaries of time and space, transforming it into a constellation in the sky. By tracing its emblem across the firmament and associating it with the people who have contributed to building and preserving its identity, Maserati pays tribute to a global community united by the same values and the same passion.

Conceived as a symbolic gesture, the project transforms the bond with the Trident into a light destined to shine through time. It is part of the wider programme of initiatives paying tribute to the 100th anniversary of the iconic logo, which first appeared on the legendary Tipo 26, winner of the Targa Florio motor race in 1926.

Positioned between the constellations of Leo and Boötes, Trident Stars consists of 100 stars selected by Maserati in collaboration with Maurizio Pajola and Anna Lucchetti, researchers at INAF – Astronomical Observatory of Padua. The stars are arranged to form the unmistakable outline of the Brand’s symbol. Each star is dedicated to a figure who has contributed to shaping Maserati’s identity: loyal customers, friends of the Brand and employees. These include collectors of classic cars, owners of Maserati Fuoriserie models, Brand Ambassadors and gentlemen drivers who, in keeping with the Brand’s racing soul, take the GT2 and MCXtrema super sports cars to the track.

Each star exists in a dual dimension, both digital and real. It can therefore be translated into a unique digital work, certified on the blockchain through a smart contract, and accompanied by a certificate for a real star, physically present in space.

The Trident Stars project will also be brought to life through an immersive and engaging experience rolled out across a dedicated website, social media content and digital initiatives, culminating in the delivery of a dedicated kit: the moment when the bond celebrated in the sky will take shape in the hands of those who inspired it.

With Trident Stars, Maserati therefore looks to the stars to make eternal what the Trident has represented for one hundred years: audacity, excellence and a passion destined to shine beyond time. Values that continue to find expression today in the new GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale, contemporary interpretations of the same DNA that has defined and distinguished the Trident throughout its history.
