Ana Ivanovic visits the new Rafa Nadal Museum and reunites with her racket at the Hall of Fame

Ana Ivanovic was the godmother of the 10th graduating class of the Rafa Nadal Academy and, ahead of the graduation event, the former Serbian tennis player had the chance to discover the new Rafa Nadal Museum, recently revamped under the Inside the Legend concept, and enjoyed a very special reunion with one of the most important items of her sporting career.

The event was attended by Rafa Nadal and former Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic, the patron of this class. Roland Garros champion in 2008, former world No. 1 and winner of 15 WTA titles, Ivanovic has taken over from leading sports figures such as Toni Kroos, Pau Gasol, David Ferrer, Ona Carbonell, Ricky Rubio, Iga Swiatek and Carlos Moyá, who have accompanied the Academy’s graduates in recent years. In 2020, Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova took part in the ceremony remotely.

During the tour of the museum, Ivanovic visited the Hall of Fame room, the space that brings together the most iconic figures in the world of tennis and where 30 iconic rackets belonging to some of the most important players in tennis history are on display.

It was there that Ana was able to see again the racket with which she built much of an extraordinary career that led her to become one of the leading figures in women’s tennis of her generation, winning Roland Garros in 2008, reaching world No. 1 and claiming 15 WTA titles.

The visit also allowed Ivanovic to discover the museum’s new concept: Rafa Nadal Museum – Inside the Legend. Located in the heart of the Rafa Nadal Academy, the museum offers a unique experience for all audiences, combining emotion, technology and stories of perseverance through the legacy of one of the greatest legends in world sport.
