Lords of the Fallen II Reveals Brutal New Gameplay at Nintendo Direct; Nintendo Switch™ 2 Version Confirmed for 2026 Release

For the first time in the history of the franchise, independent developer CI Games will bring the soulslike action-RPG, Lords of the Fallen, to a Nintendo platform. As unveiled with brutal new gameplay* during Nintendo Direct, the highly anticipated Lords of the Fallen II will launch on the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system. Previously confirmed platforms include PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X: S. With the 2023 entry recently surpassing 8 million players, CI Games is reinforcing its ‘players first’ commitment by bringing Lords of the Fallen II to all current gaming platforms, allowing fans to play wherever they choose.

Lords of the Fallen II on Nintendo Switch 2 delivers impressive Unreal Engine 5 visuals in both hand-held and docked modes, targeting a stable 30 frames per second. Using both Nanite and Lumen technology, the game achieves higher poly models and fully dynamic global illumination alongside other bespoke optimizations, thanks to careful engineering coordination between the development team, Epic and Nintendo.

This sequel pushes the series further into its signature aggressive combat style with an improved combat system designed to feel faster, more responsive and more satisfying than ever before, with brutal executions, expanded combat abilities and visceral dismemberments. Lords of the Fallen II will also feature a richer and more varied world, a significantly expanded enemy roster with biome-specific factions, more dynamic boss encounters, shared-progression co-op at launch and a more immersive Umbral realm.

Lords of the Fallen II is available to Wishlist on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X: S and now Nintendo Switch 2. Developed by CI Games, the game will be supported by PLAION for global physical distribution and retail sales. The game is not yet rated but has an anticipated Mature 17+ (M) rating by the ESRB and a provisional rating of PEGI 18 by PEGI.
