Van Damme re-elected in Belgium 2026
Pascale van Damme has been re-elected chair of the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA).
Van Damme, who also sits on the FIFA Council, was originally elected in 2023 and will now head the association until 2030 after the RBFA voted to extend its leadership mandate from a two- to a four-year term.
“The reappointment reflects a commitment to continuity and the continued implementation of the Strategic Plan 2030, focused on sporting success, strong governance, innovation, talent development, and sustainable growth across Belgian football,” said an RBFA statement.
Belgium’s men’s team are preparing for a fourth successive FIFA World Cup appearance, while their women are currently in World Cup qualifying action and confirmed in the play-offs ahead of next week’s draw.
