Following an immensely successful inaugural event, Anantara Concorso Roma has announced new dates for 2027. Next year, from the 1st to the 4th of April, the world’s rarest historic Italian cars will gather in The Eternal City to compete and celebrate ‘La Dolce Vita della Automobili’.

Owners, guests, and visitors will enjoy a stunning combination of Roman hospitality and the nation’s finest examples of automotive design and engineering. From the pre-war period to modern hypercars, the unique event distinguishes itself with its dedication to Italian cars, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Alfa Romeo, Maseratis, Lancias, Fiats, and more.

The weekend’s concours will once again take place in the gardens of Villa Borghese, with new exclusive venues being finalised for other events over the four days.

Anantara Concorso Roma 2026

The first concorso d’eleganza in Rome in 60 years, Anantara Concorso Roma 2026 turned Rome into a curated open-air experience from the 16 th to the 19 th of April. Over four days, the highly-competitive Concorso was intertwined with Italian food, luxury lifestyle experiences, and exploring the marvellous sights of Rome.

Guests stayed at Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel while the showfield was at Casina Valadier in Villa Borghese, overlooking the city. Throughout the weekend, many locals and tourists also took advantage of this unique opportunity, securing day passes to see some of the world’s rarest and most interesting cars.

Judges awed by ultrarare Maserati

Judging took place on Saturday and the awards presentation was hosted on Sunday afternoon. In the end, the 1932 Maserati V4 Sport Zagato presented by Lawrence Auriana was crowned La migliore automobile del Concorso (Best of Show). An extremely rare and interesting example of experimental Italian automotive engineering, it is one of only two V4s produced and was originally purchased by a doctor in Rome. The following 94 years tell a dramatic tale, with a world speed record and five years in hiding during World War Two, dismantled in a Dutchman’s house.

William E. Heinecke, Founder & Chairman of Minor International, parent company of Anantara and long-time classic car collector and enthusiast, commented: “The inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma well and truly surpassed our expectations. The cars were stunning, the weather beautiful, and the hospitality second to none. Now we are thrilled to announce the dates for Anantara Concorso Roma 2027. Our team has already begun preparations to make next year’s event even more special, benefitting from the stunning history, architecture, cuisine, and culture of The Eternal City.”
