COAX Software Launches Hosty, a Booking Platform That Lets Small Property Owners Get Reservations From Instagram and TikTok, Commission-Free

The product addresses a gap the COAX team identified through primary market research: small property owners were already running their businesses through social media, but had no way to convert that audience into direct bookings without paying steep commissions to large online travel agencies.

Research carried out during the discovery phase found that 78% of the target user base received bookings entirely through Instagram and TikTok messages. At the same time, dependence on platforms such as Booking and Airbnb meant owners were surrendering 15–20% of revenue on every transaction. Hosty was built to close both gaps simultaneously.

The platform’s central feature is a lightweight booking widget that property owners can embed directly into their Instagram bio, TikTok profile, or personal website. Guests click the link, check real-time availability, and complete a reservation in four steps, in under 60 seconds.

Beyond the booking layer, Hosty provides owners with a dynamic reservation calendar, a built-in guest CRM that records contact details, booking history, and social media profiles, and a seasonal pricing engine that adjusts rates automatically based on dates, guest numbers, and demand. Owners can configure more than 20 additional services per property, which guests can add at the point of booking.

The product was built as a progressive web application, working across iOS and Android without requiring app store installation. The mobile-first architecture is based on the discovery phase, which revealed that owners needed to manage reservations on the go.

Hosty’s business model is structured to give independent operators full control of their revenue. Users can manage up to two properties at no cost, and the platform takes no commission on any booking, meaning owners retain 100% of the income from direct reservations.
