Alstom once again opened the doors of its nine Italian sites this year for the “Ti Presento Alstom” Open Day, welcoming more than 3,700 people, including employees’ family members, children and friends.

“Explorers of the Future”: The 2026 Theme

This year’s theme, “Explorers of the Future”, guided all activities throughout the day with a journey of experiments, games and workshops designed to present the railway world in a simple and interactive way. An experience that turned curiosity into discovery and play into learning. Through hands-on and intuitive experiences, younger participants were able to explore movement and balance, experiment with building railway tracks, and gain a simple understanding of the principles of energy, precision and teamwork. They were also introduced to robotics and computational thinking through coding activities, which challenged them to programme routes and make group decisions. Adults, meanwhile, took part in guided tours, presentations and in-depth sessions offering a direct insight into Alstom’s daily work, the company’s contribution to national mobility, and the challenges linked to technological innovation.

“Through ‘Ti Presento Alstom‘, we want to make tangible what often remains behind the scenes: the work, skills and passion of our people,” said Gaia Mazzon, Communications Director of Alstom Italy. “This day is designed to create a moment of sharing with families and to bring younger generations closer to the world of mechatronics and innovation. Because it is by stimulating curiosity and imagination that we build the skills of the future and tomorrow’s mobility.”

A journey across Italy

The 2026 edition began on 8 May with events in Bologna and Rome, followed on 9 May in Nola and Sesto San Giovanni, on 10 May in Savigliano, on 15 May in Florence and Valmadrera, and on 16 May in Vado Ligure, concluding on 22 May with the Bari site.
