A definitive location for the works of the Italian Pavilion
Art Biennale 2026.
The Venice Biennale recognizes the Italian Pavilion at this year’s Venice Art Biennale as an achievement of extraordinary quality, demonstrating the vitality and strength of contemporary Italian artistic research. The works presented confirm the value of the work promoted by the Ministry of Culture through the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity, which supports artistic languages, visions, and practices of international significance.
In this spirit, on the occasion of today’s visit to the Italian Pavilion by the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, the President of the Venice Biennale, Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, hopes that Chiara Camoni ’s work, or a significant part of it, can find a definitive location after the end of the Exhibition, so that the work can continue to live beyond the time of the exhibition and can be permanently returned to the community.
The Venice Biennale hopes that this perspective will also represent a direction for the future: each year , the Pavilion’s works could be hosted in museum collections, public institutions, or other venues in Italy capable of enhancing their permanence and enjoyment. This would be a concrete way to provide continuity to the works and artistic projects supported by the Ministry of Culture, contributing to the construction and preservation of Italy’s contemporary heritage and the promotion of Italian artists.
