Joshua Adams Appointed Vice President of Databricks and Data Science at Datavail

In this role, Adams will lead Datavail’s Databricks and Data Science practice, driving strategy and delivery across Databricks Lakehouse implementations, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives. He will work closely with enterprise clients to modernize data platforms, operationalize AI, and unlock business value through scalable, secure, and future‑ready architectures aligned with Databricks best practices.

Adams brings more than two decades of progressive leadership in data engineering, enterprise architecture, and AI. His career began in the financial and commercial real estate industry, where he focused on risk modeling, underwriting, predictive analytics, as well as server, database, and networking development. He later built a strong foundation in data engineering, data science, and cloud architecture at National University.

Most recently, Adams served in senior technology leadership roles, including Vice President at Hitachi, where he led Databricks‑focused data science and machine learning teams. Previously, he was Head of Technology and Delivery for Professional Services at Lovelytics and founded Untethered, serving as CEO and Chief Architect.

Adams is distinguished in the Databricks ecosystem as both a Databricks Champion and a Databricks MVP—recognitions that together reflect rare depth across hands‑on engineering execution and ecosystem leadership. As a Databricks Champion, Adams has demonstrated proven, real‑world expertise delivering complex Databricks solutions at enterprise scale, earning recognition for having “done the work” across data engineering, analytics, and AI use cases.
