Tieto continues its commitment to diversity and inclusion through Pride partnerships
Tieto continues its year-round work to build an inclusive workplace by partnering with Pride organizations across several countries in 2026. Pride is both a celebration and a reminder of the continuing importance of human rights, equality and visibility for LGBTQ+ communities. These principles are closely connected to how we work, lead and collaborate at Tieto.
In 2026, Tieto is an official Pride partner in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Czech Republic, supporting local Pride organizations and their work through long-term collaboration. Alongside Pride participation, we organize internal events, learning sessions, and employee engagement activities that create space for dialogue and help strengthen understanding of LGBTQ+ topics across the organization.
“For many of our colleagues, inclusion isn’t just a word, it’s about feeling safe and respected every day. Supporting Pride is one way we show that commitment in practice,” says Trine Rønningen, Group Head of HR at Tieto.
For Tieto, Pride is not a standalone campaign, but part of consistent work to ensure that inclusion is reflected in everyday practices. One example of this is our gender balance target of 49/49. The 49/49 target supports balanced representation while explicitly recognising non-binary identities. This reflects our broader approach to inclusion beyond traditional metrics.
We work actively to strengthen inclusive leadership, with all people managers receiving annual training on diversity, equity and inclusion. The training supports leaders in fostering teams where everyone feels respected, included and able to thrive. We also review job advertisements, recruitment practices and workplace facilities to ensure they are inclusive and welcoming to LGBTQ+ employees and candidates. Progress is followed up regularly to ensure our commitments translate into meaningful action.
“Supporting Pride allows us to stand with the LGBTQ+ community and for human rights more broadly. We know this is deeply meaningful to our colleagues, and it strengthens our culture as a whole,” Rønningen says.
An inclusive culture also supports stronger business outcomes. This is particularly critical in our industry, where inclusive design directly impacts how products are used by diverse populations. By bringing together people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, we improve our ability to solve complex problems and develop solutions for diverse customers and users.
