Banksys launches the PCI PED-certified XENTEO® Unattended Payment Solution At Kiosk Europe Expo, Stand 2B.17

XENTEO, the newest unattended payment terminal from Banksys, introduces a user-centred design that promotes self-payment to the cardholder through its backlit display and ergonomic keypad. Virtually any application can run on the terminal, in any type of self-service environment: vending machine or kiosk, petrol stations, dispensers, self-check-out, or unattended countertop. The terminal will yield maximum added value in sectors of high-value payments, where a PIN is required.

XENTEO meets the strictest standards and guidelines for security, safety and ergonomics and has been certified to the latest PCI PED and EMV standards to ensure that PIN-based payment transactions meet the highest level of security. The combination of high impact resistant polymer technology and a metal keypad produces a rugged, vandal-proof terminal. Local certification is ongoing in several European countries. France will be the first market where the terminal will be deployed, with the first pilots starting now.

XENTEO provides integrators with clearly accessible interfaces, intuitive guidance and compact design. To enhance integration versatility, the XENTEO card-reader is independent from the terminal. With its on-board Ethernet modem and modular communication interfaces for ISDN, PSTN and GSM/GPRS, XENTEO is an ideally flexible solution. Remote software upgrades are available to facilitate field maintenance.

XENTEO is based on the same backbone technology as the XENTA and XENTISSIMO terminals. This means that applications can be ported from one terminal to the other within the new product range with little development effort needed.
