Blockchain in Healthcare Today (BHTY), a peer-reviewed open access journal focused on blockchain and decentralized technologies in healthcare and life sciences, has reached an H-index of 12, according to SCImago SJR 2025 data.

This milestone indicates that 12 BHTY articles have each received at least 12 independent citations, reflecting sustained engagement from the global research community.

Launched in 2018, BHTY was the first journal dedicated exclusively to blockchain applications in healthcare. Since then, the field has evolved from early stage exploration to real world implementation across health systems, clinical research, and life sciences operations.
