New Whole Foods Market in Jacksonville, Florida, to Open May 21
Retailer’s newest location to feature more than 800 products from 115+ Florida-based suppliers
Whole Foods Market will open a new 38,432-square-foot store, located at 1 Riverside Ave. in downtown Jacksonville, Fla., on May 21, 2026. The store will open at 8:00 a.m. on opening day, and regular store hours will be 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. daily. The downtown Jacksonville location’s product assortment features more than 800 local items from Florida, sourced with the help of Dustin Kennedy, Forager for Local & Emerging Brands at Whole Foods Market.
For the store’s design, vertical wooden slat walls pay an homage to the vertical lines of the Florida Times-Union newspaper building that once sat on the store’s site. The store’s color palette of soft green and blue hues represents the water and sky seen along the riverfront of the historic Brooklyn neighborhood of Jacksonville.
