PlanetHAUS Brings Immersive “Sustainable Home of the Future” at SF Climate Week 2026

San Francisco – WEBWIRE

This Earth Day, PlanetHAUS will transform The Battery in San Francisco into a fully immersive “sustainable home of the future,” offering a dynamic, real-world vision of how climate solutions are shaping everyday life.

Consumer burnout over the climate crisis is real, in part due to the sea of greenwashing and misinformation. While environmental concerns remain a top concern for consumers worldwide, nearly three in five people say they have seen or heard false or misleading information about sustainable actions taken by brands, according to a study from Kantar. At the same time, three in four people who participated in the study said they have tried or are open to try brands that have a positive environmental or social impact. So the question for brands to answer becomes how we can help consumers imagine a more sustainable future, built of delight, deliciousness, convenience, and trust?

Enter PlantHAUS, an immersive experience that invites guests to reimagine the future with a thoughtfully designed home environment. Complete with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and garden, PlanetHAUS will show guests a different path for the future during SF Climate Week. Inspired by the words of writer and activist Toni Cade Bambara, “Make the revolution irresistible,” PlanetHAUS reimagines climate action as tangible, accessible, and culturally relevant.

The space features climate-forward innovations across food, fashion, beauty, and home. Blending product discovery with storytelling, the event will also host a series of short, engaging conversations with the founders, designers, and policymakers driving the next generation of consumer brands. SF residents will think of it as The Decorators Showcase for sustainability.

PlanetHAUS was created by serial entrepreneur Julia Collins (Zume Pizza, Moonshot, Planet FWD). Through this platform, Collins expands the climate conversation beyond policy and technology and highlights the powerful role of consumer culture, design, and everyday products in accelerating climate action.

One thing that PlanetHAUS will not feature is panels. “We aren’t going to ‘panel’ our way to a better future,” said Julia Collins, founder of PlanetHAUS. Instead, the PlanetHAUS stage will feature lightning talks, film, poetry, fireside chats and a fashion show.

The event is expected to welcome over 1,000 attendees, including founders, brand leaders, policymakers, creators, investors, and media, as well as everyday consumers interested in leading a more sustainable life.

Event Highlights

  • The Home of the Future: A fully staged, design-forward home showcasing sustainable products and materials across daily living.
  • Brand Experiences: Interactive product discovery, tastings, and demonstrations from leading companies embedding sustainability into everyday goods.
  • Visionary Conversations: Short-form talks featuring founders, policymakers, designers, and climate leaders shaping the future of consumer innovation.
  • Culture Meets Climate: Programming designed to make climate solutions inspiring, accessible, and rooted in real life.
  • Featured speakers include: Tyrone Jue of the San Francisco Environment Department, Pandora Thomas of Earthseed Farm, Julia Marsh of Sway, Vicky Graham of Coyuchi, Isaias Hernandez of Queer Brown Vegan, and PlanetHAUS creator Julia Collins.

Participating brands include Coyuchi, Dr. Bronner’s, Peak Design, Jackson Family Wines, LOLA, Nespresso, Pinterest, and Seed Health.

PlanetHAUS partners include The Change Climate Project, 1% for the Planet, The Purpose Pledge, and other organizations advancing climate accountability and sustainable innovation.

“PlanetHAUS is about bringing climate solutions into everyday life,” continued Collins. “When people can see, taste, and experience what a more sustainable future looks like, climate action becomes something people want to be part of.”

PlanetHAUS will take place on April 22, 2026, at The Battery in San Francisco as part of SF Climate Week. To see the future for yourself, register here.
