Now Open: H&M Home Debut at Milan Design Week Presents a Landmark Collaboration with Kelly Wearstler
H&M HOME is thrilled to unveil their Milan Design Week installation with acclaimed American interior designer Kelly Wearstler. A curated selection of key objects and furniture from the collaboration are revealed at Palazzo Acerbi — marking a double debut for H&M HOME and the LA-based design icon. The installation will open to the public from Tuesday 21 April to Sunday 26 April 2026.
The Kelly Wearstler H&M HOME collection reimagines furniture as an evolving, modular system – small pieces that transform into something greater. Each design shifts, expands, and interacts with its surroundings, blending material, form, and space while accompanying daily rituals that shape identity. This milestone marks a bold evolution for the brand, introducing furniture within a designer collaboration for the first time, complemented by design objects.
“This collaboration with Kelly Wearstler is about exploring how design can shape the way we live, through pieces that are both expressive and adaptable,” says Evelina Kravaev-Söderberg, H&M HOME Head of Design & Creative. “Through the installation at Milan Design Week, we are expanding our design universe and offering new ways to experience H&M HOME. Presenting the collection at Palazzo Acerbi allows us to translate these ideas into a physical environment that invites people to connect with the collection on a deeper level.”
The installation is hosted at Palazzo Acerbi, a near-mythic 17th-century Baroque palace that has long been closed to the public. Behind its austere façade lies architectural grandeur that create a striking juxtaposition with the collection’s bold contemporary aesthetic.
“This is my Milan Design Week debut, and H&M HOME is the perfect partner. Their global presence and genius for storytelling align perfectly with my vision. Bringing this collection to life in Milan and showing people how the pieces come alive in a real space — that’s what excites me,” says Kelly Wearstler.
Built on the collection’s themes of daily rituals and modular synergy, the installation — produced by the acclaimed Studio Boum — unfolds as an immersive, choreographed sensory journey. Each room reveals a distinct dimension of the experience, transforming every sense into a sacred act that invites presence and connection. The spotlighted products function not only as adaptive design elements, but as a companion to the rituals that shape identity.
The presentation features 9 curated objects from the collection; the full 29-piece collection launches 3 September 2026.
COURTYARD – Visitors arrive into the expansive courtyard of Palazzo Acerbi, where the first gesture of the installation reveals itself. The NOXEN stools are composed into a sculptural installation, somewhere between furniture and architecture, set against a backdrop of okra-toned curtains that soften and frame the space.
PALAZZO ENTRANCE – Serving as a threshold into the full experience, the introduction room offers a distilled first encounter with the collection. The EMERA table lamp appears here in a reimagined, floor-scale version, repeated throughout the space to create rhythm and presence.
DINING – In the dining room, the NOXEN chairs are dispersed across the space, each elevated on silver mirrored plinths that both ground and destabilize their presence. Set against the raw, historic walls of Palazzo Acerbi, a dialogue emerges between past and present – the ornate permanence of the architecture meeting the more fluid, contemporary expression of the collection.
MUSIC – The music room introduces a more introspective moment. Two constructed shutter box cabanas frame the space, each housing the silhouette-defined AUREX lamp, appearing almost like objects on a stage or within a vitrine.
Sound becomes an integral layer here, with the room shaped as much by what is heard as what is seen, creating an atmosphere that feels immersive and slightly cinematic. Light projections move through the shutters animating the space with a constantly changing backdrop.
LOUNGE – The lounge unfolds as a space of exaggerated comfort and visual rhythm. The SOLUNA lounge chair and POMA accent chair are gathered here; not simply placed, but stacked and layered against a striped wallpaper. This vertical composition creates a sense of volume and softness, pushing the idea of upholstery into something more sculptural and unexpected, blurring the line between function and installation.
FLORAL – At the centre of this room sits one of the collection’s key pieces: the softly contoured CURVA vase. Surrounded by expressive, illustrative vintage floral wallpapers, the space becomes immersive — pattern meeting object in a layered visual dialogue. Bronze mirrors and a fully fitted carpet deepen the atmosphere, adding warmth, reflection and a sense of enveloping tactility. Delicate florals dialogue with the vases and wallpaper, animating the space and adding a live element.
DRESSING – The final room reveals the MONA clothing rack – a modular system rendered in high-gloss red, both functional and expressive. A customized floral wallpaper in soft pink and green softens its structure, while a plush, fully fitted carpet evokes the intimacy of a walk-in closet. Printed garment bags are subtly integrated into the space, hinting at narrative beyond the installation..
The full installation is immersed in a custom scent created by Kelly Wearstler for SIDE HUSTLE in LA specifically for the Kelly Wearstler H&M HOME installation. Notes are orange flower, Indian jasmine, Japanese quince, mate absolute and Palo Santo.
READING – Designed as a more grounded and intimate environment, the press room offers a space for conversation and reflection.
Five AVERN armchairs in a standard textile are arranged alongside the ORTRA sofa table — composed of multiple elements forming a circular configuration. The CURVA vase introduces a softer counterpoint, while a rug anchors the space, adding texture and warmth to support a more informal, welcoming setting for interviews.
The Kelly Wearstler H&M HOME collection will be available from 3 September 2026 in select stores and online at hm.com/home.
