Inferno is Live Now

Some hot tips from the firefighters themselves.

WEBWIRE

Hunters, The “Inferno” Time of Day has rolled back into the world of Hunt, bringing flames, destruction, and blocked paths to the Incursion zones. Additionally, we’re pleased to announce that other fiery elements are joining it, including the possibility of running into the Hellborn on every map as well as special Supply Points that only appear when the Inferno is searing through the bayou and gulch!

Some of the supplies you’ll be able to find in the new Firefighter Supply include Water Bottles, Ammo, Tool Boxes, and Tarot Cards. If you’re willing to spend some Pledge Marks, you’ll be able to fight fire with fire, as the Flame Rifle will be attainable from the Firefighter Supply too!

If you’ve never veered into the flames before, you’ll need to make sure you know how to prepare for a fire. Here are some top tips from the firefighters themselves!

  • When preparing to face the Inferno, bring the “Salveskin” Trait with you—it reduces all fire damage and makes sure you don’t lose Health Chunks too fast while tiptoeing around the Inferno’s path.

  • If you accidentally catch yourself on fire (this happens to even the most skilled firefighters sometimes!), you can place a Choke Bomb and walk through the Choke Cloud while you’re burning. This will make the burn effect stop and save you some precious health.

  • The closer you are to the fire, the louder it roars. This means that using the paths within the Inferno will open up some options for sneaky rotations while fighting, due to crouching steps barely being audible.

  • It’s hard to spot Hunters behind the fire and smoke, so using Dark Sight is one of the biggest advantages you can get while fighting in the fire as audio is also limited, making it harder to track other players.

  • If a teammate dies and gets knocked back into the Inferno, it’ll be nearly impossible to get them back up, since you can’t put out the fire (even with a Choke Cloud). Their Health Chunks will slowly burn away, so you’ll need to avoid dying at the edges of the flames if you plan to get out of the Mission alive.

Stock up on water, fight fire with fire, and keep an eye out for the Hellborn in this exciting new update!

And if you’re looking to catch up on the Battle Pass, this weekend is your chance. From 10:00 CEST, 17 April to 10:00 CEST, 20 April, we’re running a Double Event Points Boost: double the event points scored in every mission.

We’ll see you in the flames, Hunters.
