(PHOTO RELEASE) Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) and 4iG Space and Defence Technologies Ltd. announced a new joint effort to start work on a geosynchronous satellite for Hungary.

It will be Hungary’s first sovereign communications satellite and provide secure Ka-band communications for government and commercial use throughout the region using Northrop Grumman’s proven GEOStar-3 spacecraft. GEOStar is a backbone for commercial and military satellite communications worldwide, with more than 50 missions to date.

This historic agreement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding between the companies to collaborate on a range of space and defense programs.
