Turkish Airlines’ 20 Years in Finland Celebrated at Helsinki Airport
Turkish Airlines’ 20-year journey in Finland was celebrated at Helsinki Airport. The airline has been operating flights from Istanbul to Helsinki Airport for two decades.
“We have seen Turkish Airlines establish a strong position in the Finnish market through excellent service and the world’s widest range of destinations via Istanbul Airport. We are especially delighted to see Turkish Airlines increasing its flights to Helsinki Airport for the upcoming summer season,” said Laura Inttilä, SVP and Director of Helsinki Airport at Finavia, in her congratulatory speech.
“The important Istanbul–Helsinki connection will strengthen even further, as we will increase our services in the summer season 2026 to as many as 18 weekly frequencies. Turkish Airlines will operate three daily flights on four days of the week from Helsinki Airport to Istanbul, offering onward connections to more than 350 destinations across our extensive network,” said Utku Yazan, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Finland.
Turkish Airlines operated its inaugural flight to Helsinki Airport. The airline flies to 131 countries – more than any other airline in the world. In addition to Helsinki Airport, Turkish Airlines also operates seasonal direct flights from Istanbul to Rovaniemi Airport during the winter season.
