CLP Reports Business Resilience, Focus on Sustainable Value Creation in 2025
Amid rapid shifts in the global energy landscape, CLP Holdings Limited (CLP) demonstrated strong business resilience and strategic discipline in 2025, as documented in its newly released suite of reports.
The 2025 Annual Report, Sustainability Report and Materiality Assessment Report together provide a holistic view of CLP’s performance and responses to material topics most relevant to the Group’s business sustainability. The three reports underscore how the Group continues to reinforce the foundations needed for the energy transition while responding proactively to evolving stakeholder expectations.
Maintaining its double materiality approach for the fifth consecutive year, CLP’s 2025 Annual Report provides updates on business performance, strategic priorities and responses to financially material sustainability topics. Complementing this, the Sustainability Report details CLP’s impacts on people, the environment and the economy. Highlights include community investment initiatives, insights into the use of artificial intelligence solutions, and case studies exploring nature-related issues and engagement with various stakeholder groups.
For the first time, CLP also published a standalone Materiality Assessment Report. The new report details the methodology and processes enabling the Group to identify material impacts, risks and opportunities.
In response to the fast-evolving disclosure landscape, CLP prepared its Annual Report in accordance with the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standard (HKFRS) S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and in compliance with the HKFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures. Cross-references are provided to Climate Vision 2050: Powering an orderly transition. As the HKFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards are fully aligned with the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, CLP’s reporting supports clear, comparable communication of strategy and performance.
To enhance accessibility and usability, the Sustainability Report continues to be published in an interactive online format, supported by a downloadable ESG Databook and an ESG Data Hub offering visualised, user-friendly charts for deeper stakeholder insights.
