Leapmotor is hosting its international Media Drive event in Rome, welcoming leading European automotive journalists to experience all‑new Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV. The Rome Test Drive Event moves from the city to the scenic roads around Bracciano Lake, combining urban driving with panoramic curves and gentle climbs, where the B10 Hybrid EV showcases its quietness, dynamic performance and smooth electric drive.

After introducing the fully electric B10 compact SUV at the end of 2025, Leapmotor strengthens its product portfolio with the B10 Hybrid EV, powered by the advanced Range Extender technology. Building on the system already proven on the C10, the B10 Hybrid EV pairs an electric propulsion system supported by a 1.5L onboard petrol generator that recharges the battery when needed.

The model features an 18.8 kWh battery offering 86 km electric range, a 50kW generator and a 50‑liter fuel tank delivering a combined range of up to 900 km.

Drivers can choose between four energy modes - EV+, EV, Fuel, and Power+ - to optimize efficiency or performance depending on driving needs - while adapting the vehicle’s behaviour to different driving scenarios – and preserve its electric‑first character.

Two of these modes are pure electric - EV and EV+ - and operate with the engine completely off, ensuring zero tailpipe emissions and offering a fully electric driving experience for urban use and daily commuting.

The other two modes - Fuel and Power+ - activate the on‑board generator, providing additional energy when longer range, higher power demand, or specific driving conditions require it. These generator‑assisted modes ensure optimal flexibility for drivers who may need extra support during long-distance trips, high-speed scenarios, or more dynamic driving situations.

For long‑distance travel, Fuel mode shifts the system’s priority to the petrol generator, preserving battery energy for later use—for example when entering city centres or low‑emission areas.
