A Powerful New Sci-Fi Thriller Explores Telepathy, Survival, and the Strength of Found Family

Crescent Springs, KY, USA – WEBWIRE

Misunderstood,” a gripping new science fiction novel, introduces readers to Jason Sutter, a young boy whose life spirals into chaos after a tragic misunderstanding.

Misdiagnosed as psychotic following a mysterious incident in New York, Jason is abandoned by his family and placed under the care of Pennsylvania Social Services. He eventually finds himself in the Dubois foster home, a place meant for the most difficult cases.

Plagued by voices coming from every direction, Jason is overwhelmed by thoughts and emotions that are not his own. Heavy medication dulls the torment but also suppresses the
truth: Jason is a gifted telepath. Isolated in a toolshed behind the Dubois home, he slowly begins to understand that the voices he hears belong to real people in distress.

As Jason fights to free himself from the medication clouding his mind, he begins a long and dangerous journey to uncover what truly happened to him. Along the way he learns to control his abilities, build friendships, and identify those who wish to exploit or destroy people like him.

His enemies may include powerful individuals with similar abilities—and even ordinary people who fear what they do not understand.

The first installment of this series follows Jason’s recovery and awakening as he learns how to protect himself and the friends he comes to care about. Future books will expand the story, revealing the origins of telepaths like Jason, the battles they must face, and the hope of reuniting his fractured family.

Blending elements of psychological suspense, science fiction, and emotional coming-of-age storytelling, this novel offers a compelling look at identity, resilience, and the power of belonging.
